Adding Company Numbers (DIDs)

Start adding phone numbers (DIDs) to your system under the DID Manager tab.

There are two ways to add phone numbers. One way is to upload the existing phone numbers that you have purchased from another service provider. The second way is to purchase numbers directly from DCDial. Phone numbers (DIDs) can serve as a caller ID, callback number, external queue number, or call monitoring number.

Upload Existing Numbers

To upload your existing phone numbers, go to the Administration page > Inbound > DID Manager and click ‘Create DID’. To add multiple numbers at once, click on ‘Upload DIDs’.

Please Note: DIDs purchased from DCDial are automatically enabled for sending and receiving text messages. This feature will not work with phone numbers (DIDs) purchased from other providers.

Purchase New Numbers

You can purchase phone numbers directly from DCDial. If you purchase phone numbers from us, you can record inbound calls, view call metrics, route inbound calls to various destinations, and enable SMS functionality for each phone number.

To purchase phone numbers, follow the instructions. Your purchased phone numbers will be automatically added to your DID Manager and marked with the DCDial flag.

Configure Company Numbers

Once you have added your existing phone numbers in the DID Manager or have purchased new numbers from DCDial, go to the Company Numbers page under Setup and assign a purpose for each phone number. Phone numbers (DIDs) can serve as one of the following phone types: caller ID, callback, external queue, and call monitoring. Additionally, they can be used when creating a regional CID list.
