Company Numbers

Company Numbers allows you to easily manage the function of each phone number (DID) in your system.

Phone numbers (DIDs) added in DID Manager must be assigned a designated purpose to be accessible throughout your DCDial system.


For example, if you would like to use a phone number (DID) as a Callback number, you must configure that DID as a "Callback" under Company Numbers. Once you have done so, this DID will be selectable in a dropdown menu in different settings throughout the system that ask for a Callback Number.

Please note: Each phone number (DID) can be assigned multiple number types.

  • Number Type

Indicates the assigned purpose for each phone number (DID): a Callback, Caller ID, External, or Call Monitoring.

  • Actions


  • Associations: Hover over the icon to view any active associations.
  • Modify: Click the icon to modify the company number. Learn More About Modifying Company Numbers
  • Delete: Click the icon to delete a company number. A confirmation screen will appear to confirm the deletion.

Phone numbers (DIDs) can serve as one of the following phone types:


Caller ID

Phone number (DID) can be selected as a Caller ID that will appear on the customer's phone screen when a call comes in.

  • Callback
Phone number (DID) can be selected as a Callback Number that can be inserted dynamically into text-to-speech messages, answering machine messages, scripts, and text messages.
  • External Queue
Phone number (DID) can be selected as an external number where calls will be routed. For example, an external phone number can be an office phone number that an agent might prefer to use.
  • Call Monitoring
Phone number (DID) can be used for live Call Monitoring: listening to calls in order to manage call quality and improve agent performance.


CREATE COMPANY NUMBER

Click on the 'Create Company Number' button on the top right to create a new company number. Complete the required fields in the pop-up window and click 'Create' to proceed. You will see a confirmation once the Company Number has been added successfully. 

  • Company Number

Select a phone number (DID). Any active phone number in your DID Manager will appear in this field.

  • Company Number Description

Enter a description.

  • Select Number Type

Assign a purpose for each company number by selecting the number type from the available options. You can assign multiple types for each Company Number.


MODIFY COMPANY NUMBER

Click on to Modify the Company Number.

When done, click on ‘Submit’ to save your changes.


REGIONAL CIDs

Regional Caller ID allows you to display a unique caller ID for each state you are dialing. Any active phone number (DID) that is added to the DID Manager may be used to in your regional CID list.

  • Name
The name of the Regional CID List.
  • Random CID
To ignore a state-specific caller ID and randomly select any phone number in the regional CID list as a caller ID for your outbound calls/texts, enable Random CID by clicking on the shield icon to activate it. To deactivate this option, click on the shield icon .
  • Actions


  • Active: The regional CID list is active. Click the icon to deactivate the list.
  • Inactive: The regional CID list is inactive. Click the icon to activate the list.
  • View Activity Log: Click the icon to view a summary of events. Learn More About the Activity Log
  • Modify: Click the icon to modify the regional CIDs list. Learn More About Modifying Regional CIDs
  • Delete: Click the icon to delete a regional CID list. A confirmation screen will appear to confirm the deletion. 

CREATE REGIONAL CID LIST

STEP 1. Click on the 'Create Regional CID List' button on the top right to create a new regional CID list. Complete the required fields in the pop-up window and click ‘Create’ to proceed. You will see a confirmation once the Regional CID list has been created successfully and you will be redirected to the regional CID list details page where you can add additional phone numbers (DIDs) to your list.

  • Regional Caller List Name
Enter a unique name.
  • Regional Caller List Description
Enter a description.
  • Select DID Number
Add at least one phone number (DID) to the list. You can add more numbers later once the Regional CID List has been created.
  • State
The state will be automatically assigned depending on the area code of the phone number (DID).
  • Override
Check the override box to manually assign a state.


STEP 2. Configure the regional CID list settings on the details page and, if needed, add more phone numbers (DIDs) to the list using the 'Bulk Add' or 'Add CID' buttons in the top right corner.

  • CID Number
The phone number (DID).
  • Description
A brief description of the phone number (DID).
  • CID State
The state assigned to the phone number (DID).
  • Default CID
Click on the icon to designate a number as the default CID. The default CID number is automatically used as the caller ID for states that are not assigned to a CID number.
  • Actions


    • Modify: Click the icon to modify the CID number.
    • Delete: Click the icon to delete a CID Number. A confirmation screen will appear to verify this step.

 Please Note: The default CID number cannot be deleted.

Bulk Add

Click on the 'Bulk Add' button on the top right to add multiple phone numbers (DIDs) to the Regional CID list. Select the phone numbers (DIDs) you would like to add in the pop-up window and click 'Submit' to proceed.


  • DID
The phone numbers (DIDs) are available in your system.
  • DID Description
The phone numbers (DIDs) description.
  • State
The state is automatically assigned based on the area code of the phone number (DID).
  • Override
Check the override box to manually assign a state.


Add CID

Click on the 'Add CID' button on the top right to add phone numbers (DIDs) to your Regional CID List. Select the phone number (DID) from the drop-down menu and click 'Submit' to proceed.

  • DID
Select a phone number (DID).
  • State
The state will be automatically assigned based on the area code of the phone number (DID).
  • Override
Check the override box to manually assign a state.

Modify CID Number

If you would like to modify a phone number (DID) in the regional CID list, click on the icon.


COPY REGIONAL CID LIST

Copying an existing Regional CID List is a quick and easy way to create a new list with no need to start everything from scratch.


STEP 1. Click on the 'Copy Regional CID List' button on the top right to copy a regional CID list. Complete the required fields in the pop-up window and click 'Create' to proceed. You will see a confirmation once the Regional CID list has been copied successfully and you will be redirected to the regional CID list details page where you can modify the list as needed.

  • Regional Caller List Name
Enter a unique name.
  • Regional Caller List Description
Enter a description.
  • Select Source List
Select the source list you would like to copy.



MODIFY REGIONAL CIDs

Click on to Modify the Regional CID List.
