List Load Automation

Automate the way lists are loaded into DCDial using this automation feature.

Simply add your files to an FTP account and we will automatically fetch the files and load them to the desired campaign. You can use either an internal FTP server provided by DCDial or your own FTP server.

  • Automation Name

The name of the list load automation.

  • Description

The description of the list load automation.

  • Campaign

The campaign where the lists will be automatically loaded.

  • Format

The name of the list format that will be used for the automation.

  • Actions


    • Active: The list load automation is active. Click on the icon to deactivate the automation.
    • Inactive: The list load automation is inactive. Click on the icon to activate the automation.
    • View Activity Log: Click the icon to view a summary of events. Learn More About the Activity Log
    • Modify: Click the icon to modify the list load automation. Lead More About Modifying List Load Automation
    • Delete: Click the icon to delete automation. A confirmation screen will appear to confirm the deletion.

CREATE LIST LOAD AUTOMATION


STEP 1. Click the 'Create List Load Automation' button on the top right to create a new list to load automation. Complete the required fields in the pop-up window and click 'Create' to proceed. You will see a confirmation once the List Load Automation has been created successfully and you will be redirected to the automation details page to complete the setup process.


  • Automation Name
Enter a unique name.
  • Description
Enter a description.
  • Select Campaign
Use the drop-down menu to select the campaign where the list will be uploaded.
  • Select Import Format
Use the drop-down menu to select the import file format you want to use for uploading the files. To create a new format, go to the Format Builder.
  • Select Check Every
Use the drop-down to select how often the system should check for a new file. Time intervals can be 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes.
  • Select Host
Use the drop-down menu to select Internal DCDial or External FTP as the server where the files are located.

STEP 2. Configure the List Load Automation settings on the automation details page. When done, click on ‘Submit’ to save your changes.

  • Host

Select Internal DCDial to use the FTP server provided by DCDial.


    • Internal DCDial: Select this option to use the FTP server provided by DCDial. The FTP account credentials can be viewed in the top right corner of the page

Please Note: the FTP port is 2123

    • External FTP: Select this option to use your own external FTP server. Click the 'Add' button to enter your external FTP account information:
  • Host Name: Enter the domain / IP address for the FTP server.
  • User Name: Enter the FTP account user name for the specified domain / IP address.
  • Password: Enter the FTP password for the specified user name.
  • Directory: Enter a directory name If your files are located in a sub-directory on the FTP server.


  • Begins with / Ends with / Contains

Select the pattern DCDial will use for uploading a file. You can configure the system to pick only files that begin with, end with, or contain certain keywords. Once the system detects a file with the defined pattern, load automation will apply. You can add or delete parameters by clicking on the buttons.


  • Load in Campaign

Select the campaign where the list will be uploaded.

Please Note: Automation can only apply to one campaign. You need to create individual automation for each separate campaign.

  • Use Import Format

Select the import file format you want to use for uploading files.

  • Check Every

Select how often the system should check for a new file. Time intervals can be 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes.

  • Activate List

Select whether you want the list to be automatically activated once it has been uploaded to DCDial.


MODIFY LIST LOAD AUTOMATION

Click on to Modify the List Load Automation.
