Here’s how to use it:

Accessing Payments:

  • Navigate to the 'Payments' option from the main dashboard or Quick Actions menu.
You can toggle between two tabs: Payments and Payment Plans using the dropdown menu at the top.

Payments

View Modes

At the top right, you can toggle between two viewing modes:

  • List View (default): Displays payments as a scrollable list, showing detailed information like contact name, payment method, amount, and status.

  • Calendar View: Displays payments on a calendar, grouped by the date they were made. Ideal for visualizing payment activity over time.

Filters and Search

To help you quickly find specific payments, use the available filter and search options:

  • Status: Filter payments by their status (e.g., Succeeded, Failed).

  • Method: Filter by payment method type (e.g., Credit Card, ACH).

  • Owner: Filter payments by the user who processed them.

  • Date Range: Use the date picker to filter payments made within a specific period.

  • Search Bar: Enter any payment-related detail (e.g., name, amount, order ID) to locate the record instantly.

Available Actions

Clicking the three-dot menu next to any payment or payment plan allows you to access context-specific actions. The options you see will vary depending on the payment status, payment method, type (e.g., one-time, post-dated, manual, or scheduled plan), and system settings.

Below is a description of each possible action:

  • Send Receipt
Email a receipt to the customer.

  • Process Payment
Immediately initiate a new payment for the selected contact using the configured method (credit card or ACH). Commonly used for incomplete, failed, or refunded payments.

  • Retry Payment
Attempt to reprocess a previously failed or blocked transaction.

  • Stop Retry
Cancel any automatic retry attempts for a failed payment.

  • Send Recovery Link
Send a secure payment link to the customer, allowing them to retry the failed transaction on their end.

  • Refund
Issue a full or partial refund back to the customer. This option is available only for certain payment statuses, such as Succeeded or Dispute Won.

  • Void Payment
Cancel a manual payment record. This removes the amount from reports and calculations while retaining the history for reference.

  • Edit Payment
Modify details of a manual payment, including amount, payment method, description, date, and payment owner.

  • Edit Payment Owner
Change the team member assigned to the payment. Useful for reassigning responsibilities or correcting ownership.

  • Edit Payment Plan
Update settings for an active payment plan, such as schedule, amounts, or frequency.

  • Preview Payment Plan
View a breakdown of the full payment schedule, including all upcoming and completed transactions.

  • Download Agreement
Download a PDF copy of the signed payment agreement for recordkeeping or sharing.

  • Cancel Payment Plan
Terminate an active payment plan to prevent further scheduled charges.

  • Preview Agreement
View the agreement terms associated with a specific payment or plan.

  • Payment Timeline
View a detailed history of all actions and status updates related to the payment, including receipts, related payments, and system-generated events.

Payment Plans

The Payment Plans tab provides a detailed view of all payment plans created through DCDial. Each entry shows the customer's plan details, payment method, total amount, and current status.

View Modes and Filters

Just like in the Payments tab, you can switch between:

  • List View: Shows plans in a vertical list format.

  • Calendar View: Displays upcoming scheduled payments on a calendar.

Use filters to narrow down results by status, owner, date range, or search by any contact or plan-related detail using the search bar.

Available Actions

Click the three-dot menu next to any plan to access available actions.

Please note: For a full list of all available actions (including those based on payment status), please refer to the detailed breakdown in the Payments section.
